We were sad to see the first couple of weeks, when we launched Ikbis, that most of the videos and photos on Ikbis were not tagged. Since Ikbis is the first photo and video sharing service in the Arab World, we feel it is our role to take the initiative to encourage people to tag their photos and videos. So bottom line, please tag your photos and videos. It will make Ikbis more interesting. We want to make the biggest tag cloud on Earth! So let’s fire up our tags!

Click the Tags link in the upper menu, while you are logged in, and you will see a simple tags cloud of all your tags.
Please notice that the albums section is very rudimentary at this stage. Enhancements are being applied on how users add photos and videos to albums. You will NOT lose any albums once we introduce the new functionality.
When you are on albums, click the “Create a new album” link. A dialogue will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to create a new album. Click “Yes” to proceed. Then you will be redirected to your new album, in edit mode.
When you are in the album, in edit mode (if not, click on the “Edit this album” link), you will see a blue bordered box. This box contains the photos and videos that are currently in your album. To add photos and videos to your album, click on the 
icon that you see on each photo or video. To remove a photo or video, click on the 
icon. You will see live interaction happening between the blue bordered box, and the list of photos and videos below it.
Yes, of course. While you are in the album, in edit mode, you can edit the title and description of the album in the same way you would do with photos and videos.
Yes, of course. Just in the same way you would share photos and videos. Just look for the “Share this album” link in the albums page, or the share by e-mail link on the sidebar.
Photos and videos that are set to be viewed by your contacts only, will be viewable by your contacts only. If a photo is set to private, it will not be viewable to anyone but you. However, when we send them the e-mail, it will contain the thumbnails of the photos and videos that are within the album, regardless of the permissions you set.
Archive pages are our way of organizing your photos and videos! They will come handy if you would like to view your photos and videos sorted by date. There are two kinds of dates; Date Uploaded and Date Taken.
The former one is quite easy, it is the date you uploaded your photos and videos on Ikbis. The latter one is the date you have taken the photos with your digital camera or mobile phone.
Well, we don’t always know. But digital photos usually contain this information, along with other data; like the camera model that was used. We import this information, and then make it useful in the Archive pages! This data is called meta-data, known as Exchangeable image file format (EXIF for short).
